There are a myriad of ways to get involved. All of them are important and necessary for us to complete our mission successfully.
Ways to Volunteer
Event Volunteers
Come join us at an event! We are always looking for volunteers who want to share our passion and our love for our dogs. Bring a dog for exposure and share their story or sport some H2H merchandise. Any opportunity for people to see our dogs and meet people who support our mission is welcomed!
Drive to the Vet
Volunteer drivers to transport dogs to be spayed, neutered or any other procedure necessary to ensure the safety and health of our dogs. We will supply you with the dogs location for pickup, the time for arrival and the location for the vet. Anytime you’re driving, you’re helping the dog move closer to being adopted.
Take to Training
Come pickup one of our “less fortunate” dogs at our facility in Pacific and bring them to our weekend training classes or bring your current foster pup. This is such a needed gift for our dogs at our shelter. They are often the ones overlooked resulting in lengthy periods of time without much visibility to the public.
Business Supporter
If you or someone you know owns a business, we would love to support them in their efforts while supporting us. From shoutouts on social media to puppy playtime for staff to help alleviate stress, we’d love to be a part of your team too!
Phone Support
Do you like to talk on the phone or send emails? Prior adopters love to share information about how their new dog is doing in their home. If you’d like to help follow up with them or send thank you notes, this might be fulfilling for you and so very helpful to us!
Encourage Donors
Help bridge the gap between people who aren’t familiar with our organization and those who want to know more! The need is great for the community to understand what H2H stands for, our goal to help people in all the ways we have created and to ensure our dogs are as happy as they can be. When we have the community rallying with us, more dogs can be saved!
Supply Drive
Create a donation drive for us! We are always in need of crates that close appropriately, treats, Purina pro plan puppy dog food, Purina One adult lamb & rice dog food, 6 foot leashes, martingale collars of all sizes, puppy collars (XS), paper towels, anti-bacterial cleaner, dog shampoo, puppy pads, surgical cones, indestructible toys, towels, sheets. These items can be dropped off Cheap Tricks vet clinic.
Our volunteers are the most cherished and appreciated people within our organization because we know we’d never be able to help as many dogs as we do without you!
